YBL 25th Anniversary

Youth Basketball Sign Ups start October 1

The 25th Anniversary of Youth Basketball at the Prescott YMCA is set to kick its sign up’s on October 1. The season starts with a special guest for our opening ceremonies on January 8th at the Prescott High School Boys Gym, and games will be finishing up in March.

We offer three divisions:
‘A’ Division: This division is devoted to teaching players advanced defensive and offensive skills, teamwork and leadership. All players must tryout. Sportsmanship and competition are emphasized in this league.
Ages: Coed: 9-10, 11-12, and 13-15

‘B’ Division: Recreational play that introduces and reinforces basketball skills. Players focus on sportsmanship and skill building more than competition.
Ages: Coed: 4, 5-6, 7-8 Boys: 9-10, 11-15 and Girls: 9-10, 11-15

Contender: This is a new division for us. This league provides a quality experience for children, ages 5-15, whose disabilities (mental or physical) make it difficult to successfully participate on a mainstream team.
